When will this be available? Starting April 1, 2025, until funding runs out
Who is this for?
1) AIO Members who actively shop in the market. Members who have made at least 4 visits over the past six months.
2) Members who HAVE ALREADY received energy assistance since October 1, 2024 are also now eligible!
How much is the benefit? $200
What is the $200 for? You can direct the payment to either a CMP or Fuel Oil/Propane account. You can not split the $200 payment
How does it work?
* Complete the application using this link or come into AIO and complete an application.
* If there is incomplete information, we won't know, please carefully review the information before submitting it.
* If the information is complete, you will receive an automated email letting you know we have received it.
* Once complete, our volunteers will work on the application. It may take 1-2 weeks before this is completed.
* Once completed, you will receive an automated email informing you of the completed payment.
* For fuel oil you can call immediately to arrange for a delivery.
* For CMP, you'll see the credit within about a week.
Financial eligibility is based on the State of Maine TEFAP income guidelines
Please note that most fuel oil providers will require at least a 100 gallon delivery which will cost more than $200. You may need to supplement the $200 with your own funds.

Income Eligibility
AIO Energy Assistance eligibility is aligned with the State of Maine TEFAP Income Guidelines, which is 185% of Maine Poverty Guidelines. Eligibility is based on your household income and number of people in your household. Please see the table below to determine your eligibility. For more information regarding Maine TEFAP Income Guidelines, please visit www.maine.gov
If your household income is less than the amount shown for the number of people in your household in the following table, you are eligible for AIO Energy Assistance. Knox County residents only.
