Annual Appeal
This has been an extraordinary year for our community. These uncertain times are challenging us to show up for our family, friends and neighbors in new ways—and showing up we are. I believe we’ve learned what an integral role we each play in keeping our community connected, healthy and strong—that we are truly better (and stronger) together. More than ever, we need to help one another.
Will you consider a gift to AIO that will support vulnerable members of our community? Our goal is to raise $100,000—one third of our annual fund goal—by December 31. No matter the size, your gift will have an impact. Make a gift today.
The need for food and heat assistance is real and is not going away anytime soon. According to a study by Feeding America/Good Shepherd Food Bank Knox County has the 4th highest rate of food insecurity in the state, projected to increase 46% overall. Knox County child hunger is projected to reach 28%, a 52% increase. AIO remains committed to being here for anyone and everyone who needs support. AIO’s new program managers—Joe, Molly and Rhonda—are hard at work making plans for the anticipated growth in need as winter approaches. You can learn about their work to ensure that AIO is ready now and in the future in our new brochure
We truly couldn’t do all that we do without everyone who believes in our work. Thank you.
With gratitude,
Liz Jenkins
